By accessing and using the CineMob website, mobile application, or related services (the “Service”), you agree to abide by this Community Policy, which forms part of CineMob’s Terms of Use.

CineMob is a private, member-driven film community built around discovering movies and experiencing them together through group gatherings (“Mobs”). Our members come from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. We expect everyone to engage thoughtfully, respectfully, and in good faith.

Participation in CineMob—online or in person—should enhance the shared experience for others. You must treat other members, guests, venue staff, and the CineMob team with respect. You must not use the Service to harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, stalk, shame, or impersonate others. Engage in unwelcome or aggressive behavior, whether online or in person. Disrupt discussions, events, or screenings. Solicit or attempt to obtain personal or identifying information from others without consent.

Harassment, unsafe behavior, or disruptive conduct at in-person CineMob events or partner venues is considered a serious violation of this policy and may result in immediate removal from the event, suspension or termination of your account, and restriction from future events.

CineMob does not tolerate hate or discrimination. You must not promote, engage in, or incite hate, violence, discrimination, or intolerance, including based on race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, disability, serious disease, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access where behavior or content undermines the safety, dignity, or inclusivity of the CineMob community.

CineMob is about shared film experiences, both before and after screenings. Please be mindful that not all members will have seen the same films at the same time. Avoid intentionally posting major plot spoilers in public comments or discussions where doing so would reasonably diminish another member’s experience. Repeated or intentional behavior that disrupts the community experience may result in moderation action.

You must engage honestly and in good faith. You must not plagiarize or copy another person’s writing or commentary, Knowingly post false or misleading information in a way that disrupts discussions or events, Misrepresent your intent to attend events or participate in mobs, Where you reference another person’s work or ideas, appropriate attribution is expected.

You must not misuse the Service in a way that undermines trust or distorts participation. This includes, but is not limited to:

Creating multiple accounts to manipulate participation or visibility

Artificially inflating interest, attendance, or demand for events

Coordinating or encouraging activity intended to misrepresent genuine interest

Repeatedly creating mobs without intent to attend or participate

Posting spam, unsolicited promotions, or solicitations

You must not use CineMob to build, promote, or operate a competing service.

CineMob may, in its reasonable discretion:

Remove content

Restrict participation in certain features or events

Suspend or terminate accounts

Deny access to future events

We may consider off-platform behavior where it has a direct and material impact on the safety, integrity, or trust of the CineMob community, including conduct at CineMob events or toward other members. Not all violations look the same. Moderation decisions may take into account context, patterns of behavior, and the impact on the community.

This Community Policy is a living document and may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, community needs, or emerging behaviors.
